LPS

Today is LPS's 30th birthday and I'm going to meet her in Vancouver in a week. We've been friends for 11 years and when I first met her I'm pretty sure she was wearing an all-beige outfit with Teva sandals and wool socks. (Just like Steve Irwin) In the time we've known each other LPS has blossomed into a truly irrepressible spirit. It's as if Dame Jane Goodall had a drunken love child with a smoking hot Bonobo chimp. In recent years, the beer beast has been reserved for wedding receptions and we've grown into sober friends as well. Happy 30th LPS! You aren't nearly as f'ed up as I thought you'd be.

Birthday Parties

We're throwing 2 friends a joint b-day party at SYN lounge on Saturday night. It'll be a private party- just us. Dress cute - the Raider Nation will survive one night without you representing.

Hip or Dangerous

So I went to Il Pirata's Church for my birthday yesterday and lots of people came but because it was Easter Sunday their regular Jamaican bbq was replaced by a couple of cd's and some take-out tacos. For those of you that came, sorry about that. I think White Canadian reggae artist Snow's less charismatic impersonator may have been there (Warning: you can only tolerate 20 seconds of this).

At least the guys that joined us at the end of the day allowed us to play a little: 'hip or dangerous'
